Reasons Why a Computer Freezes

Are you wondering why your computer freezes? Are you looking for a way to stop this annoyance? There could be endless reasons that may cause a computer to freeze.

Many times the computer just gets too hot and the computer just locks up. Another reason could be that the CPU isn’t in a well ventilated area. Putting it in a cabinet with the door shut may aggravate the problem. Or, the cooling fan may not be working properly. It could be loaded with dust which slows down the mechanism that makes the fan work.

Sometimes your computer can freeze because of the power supply. New computers have faster chips and video cards, etc. They need greater amounts of energy to run. Power supplies with low wattage may not do the job. You may need to upgrade the power supply to a 400 watt or better. ROZtech Computer Services provides this service if you need help.

Other possibilities that cause computer to freeze are bad memory, viruses, spyware and malware. Also, video/sound or other hardware driver conflicts, hard drives going bad and not enough space on the hard drive can slow or stop a computer.
